What data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

MarkIQ SI ("we", "us") runs markiqsi.com and the MarkIQ SI Telegram bot. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
2. What we collect
Account details: your name and email address.
Your preferences: your goals, experience level, the markets you follow and your alert settings.
Telegram: your Telegram user ID, only if you choose to connect Telegram for alerts.
What you create: journal entries, strategies, bots, scanner settings and questions you ask MarkIQ.
Usage data: basic technical information such as pages visited, device and browser type, used to keep the Service working and improve it.
3. What we never collect
We never ask for or store your broker or MT5 trading password. We do not collect card details at launch.
4. How we use your data
To create and run your account, send you sign-in links and alerts you asked for, save your progress and your work, answer your questions, keep the Service secure, and understand how to improve it. We only send marketing messages if you agree, and you can stop them at any time.
5. Legal basis
We process your data to provide the Service you signed up for, with your consent (for example for Telegram alerts or marketing), and where we have a legitimate interest such as keeping the Service secure. You can withdraw consent at any time.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers to run MarkIQ SI, such as website hosting, database storage, email delivery and Telegram for alerts. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
We may share data if the law requires it or to protect our users and the Service.
7. Where your data is stored
Some of our providers store data on servers outside Nigeria. When that happens, we use providers with strong security and take the steps the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires to protect your data.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. Your rights
You have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive a copy of it. To use these rights, email markiqsi2@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and the website working. If we use analytics cookies, we will ask for your permission first.
11. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and secure providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your email account safe, because it is how you log in.
12. Children
MarkIQ SI is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the Service changes and show the new date at the top. If the changes are important, we will tell you by email or on the website.
